The City Gate Corp (Pty) Ltd (2022/232205/07), is an umbrella company which will give rise to many Gates/ businesses, the first of which is The Souvenir Gate.

The Souvenir Gate collaborates with a Job creation NPO, Xstitch which makes and supplies the products. The Justice Dolls organisation has been in existence since 2007 using the doll as a powerful tool in the awareness of gender violence and has now been handed to the NPO, Xstitch. However, the purpose has changed from primarily gender violence awareness to the Souvenir African Doll for tourists. Tourism shopping activities impact positively on the economies of countries. However the doll may be custom made for many other purposes such as sports  figurines, a voice for a cause, corporate gifting and as a décor item. The dolls are tagged and carry the story of the dolls as well the custom message of the client.

To establish nationally and  internationally, the distribution of the handcrafted production viz. the Souvenir African doll.

Mission

To target national and International tourism and hospitality establishments while using the Souvenir African Doll as a tool to market South Africa and rest of the continent of Africa.

Secondly, to engage big business partnerships to scale to other products while supporting a symbiotic relationship between small and big business (investors) contributing to a vibrant circular eco-friendly economy which cuts out the silo mentality and wastage.
